Although President Barack Obama apparently was briefed in 2009-2014 about a bribery and money laundering scheme involving a Russian official and Russian subsidiary involved in the transportation of uranium in the United States, the Obama administration, with the blessing of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, agreed to selling the Vancouver-based Uranium One company to Rosatom (Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation), which gave the Russians (and President Vladimir Putin) control over 20% of U.S. uranium production. Prior to, during, and after this sale in October 2010, at least nine investors in Uranium One gave $145 million to the Clinton Foundation. Bill Clinton personally received $500,000 for a speech sponsored by a Russian bank that supported the purchase of Uranium One.

Monday’s Senate Judiciary Committee:
Cruz brought up the law that authorized the executive order, and Yates did not recognize it. She then answered by referring to another law, which does not supersede the first. She then tried to argue that the order was unconstitutional, but Cruz pointed out that her argument was a partisan one, driven by her own policy views. She then claimed no court would enforce the order — which is contradicted by the fact that one actually did.

And the bottom line is that if he is willing to withdraw a demand of his for a measly billion dollars for the wall because the Democrats are threatening a shutdown then the Democrats will have just learned that this threat works on Trump, too, not just all the other Republicans.

Democrats are willing to shutdown the US government over Donald Trump’s $1.4 billion budget request to fund the beginning of his proposed wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. This spending bill request represents 0.035 percent of the $3.963 trillion which the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) estimates that the federal government will spend this fiscal year.
How much money is $1.4 billion? It equates to what HHS (Department of Health and Human Services) spends every 11 hours during the year, or an amount equal to what the government collects in taxes in only 4 hours.
